Second Set: Off Season Class

One of the things we like to do on our off season is to attend classes during the week at Gym Laird Strength and Conditioning. It gives us the chance to do something a little different and also chat with some of the other great people that come to the gym. This week  Emily and I went to a class on Wednesday. The following is what our workout looked like:

Foam rolling

Dynamic warm up

Extended warm up: Standing hip hinge/RDL- 3 x 10
Band shuffle- 3 sets
Slow mountain climbers- 5 on each leg for 3 sets

Main work out: Swings with a kettlebell (we used a 53lb KB)- 10 reps
Slams with 20lb ball- 8 reps
Squats with a kettlebell (we used a 40lb KB)- 8 reps

For a total of 6 sets

One of the things I really enjoy about class is the quick efficient workout it provides. This one truly kicked my rear end!
