How I Got Into Lifting: I am new to this whole fitness thing. I have had a lifelong struggle with my weight and was always too embarrassed to join a gym for fear of being ridiculed. Walking is about as “athletic” as it got for me.
When I turned 41, I made a decision to lose weight and get healthy. I lost almost 100 pounds by watching my diet and walking. Around that time, my friend and fellow Miss Fit Suzanne, suggested I try Gym Laird, and I fell in love with weight training. I can proudly say I am “addicted” to being strong!
In January, a teammate asked what my New Year’s resolution was…my response, “I WANT TO BE A MISS FIT!” Guess what? I MADE IT!
